7:30pm at York Environment Centre
York writer and former Press columnist Kate Lock will be reading from her new book 'Confessions of an Eco-Shopper: the true story of one woman's mission to go green'. In Kate's quest to experience all that an eco-friendly lifestyle has to offer - and to test what does and doesn't work when it comes to doing it in practice - she has tried everything from making her own moisturisers to worm-charming in high heels. The result is a humourous and personal account of a novice's conversion to 'the good life' that tells it like it is. Come and meet Kate and hear about her research - and perhaps take up one of her 'eco-challenges' yourself! Kate will also be signing copies of her book and there will be tea & cakes.
